Hey I'm a rising senior looking to apply to ucla in the fall, any insight is greatly appreciated

Act (took blind going to retake with some studying): 31(looking about 33+)
Sat2:math: ~750 bio e:~700 (still havent taken but that's what my practice would suggest
I play varsity lacrosse and have won awards for leadership, I volunteer in a hospital 12 hrs a week will have approx. 200 hours by apps, and for senior year I'll be interning at a local biotech company.

I’d say you have a really good chance. My numbers weren’t THAT different from yours and I got in (we have very different extracurricular though, but I have friends who did internships for medical places and hospital volunteer and they got in too)

how many ap’s and honors have you taken and what were your grades in them?? right now ucla looks like a low-mid reach for you (applying for engineering hurts you), but thats just my opinion…

4 honors (no AP:(), but never taken a regular level class. My school only offers a few AP level classes until senior year (2 history and 1 english) which i have taken honors instead.
Honors Chem b+ both semesters
Honors American lit. a+/a
Honors us history a/a
Honors pre calc b+/a

Senior year I’m taking 3 AP classes and physiology, which is as hard/harder than any of them

Yeah my school is in California and all of them have to be accredited by the uc system. I haven’t taken a non a-g class, because there aren’t any

uh ok…I guess since thats as rigorous as possible… you seem ok. In reach of UCLA as long as your personal statement and your do well senior year. Good luck.

Oh I forgot there is also AP Chem and bio but I didn’t take them (I wish I had) I’m hoping that I can do really well on the bio subject test and that hollistically that will help make up for that.
