<p>I moved to virginia after my sophomore year and was screwed over in terms of scheduling, so they put me in concurrent enrollment english, which is the same thing as the ap english lang test. they put me in honors world history 2 and biology this year because I needed to meet graduation requirements...also, my current school does not offer many APs, so I might pick up math and science classes at the local community college. foreign language is going to be a weakness in my app</p>
<p>club/ec activities:</p>
<p>mu alpha theta (3 years)- officer for 2 years at my old high school: we planned pi day to raise funds for annual scholarship and promoted math
orchestra (2 years)- earned letter at state competition for both years, voted "outstanding freshman" until a prodigy came to our school. ha
swim team (2 years)- member of state-qualified relay
young democrats (2 years)

recycling club (1 year)- APES class initiative to promote recycling at school
rocketry (1 year)- only one year because it was for physics class. built a rocket over a few months. super fun

debate (1 year)- I picked it up after I moved to my new school because none of my original ecs are offered here. qualified to regionals and state and will continue next year, possibly as captain

<p>I currently work at a chinese restaurant and I'm a certified lifeguard looking for work this summer. I also babysit during the week, but that's probably not job experience at all. to be honest, I really love working with people.</p>
<p>I'm looking to apply to duke early decision. uva is a good, relatively inexpensive option in-state but it's just so...red. if anyone could suggest any liberal-leaning schools on the east coast that would be a good match, I'd highly appreciate it!</p>
