What about me? Sorry for stealing your thread. I want to know if I should relax a bit and enjoy this summer or go hard-core in studying.

SAT: 1100 m/v (retaking in Oct: hopefully 1200 but 1150 at the minimum.)
GPA: 3.7uw/3.9w
Rank: Approximately top 9-10%.

Is this good for Aerospace Engineering?

In all honesty you don't have a great chance of getting in, maybe you can get into one of the smaller campuses, but not the University Park campus. Especially now that they will definately be tightening the standards for applicants to be accepted after this years 8000 freshmen.

Honestly, you definately would have gotten in this year, but with the 8000 freshmen that are attending this year you are boarderline with your SAT scores for next year, but you still have a shot. I don't think that you should go hardcore on the studying this summer because looking at your GPA you probably know your stuff pretty well. I bet the low SATs are a result of not being a good test taker. I would recommend working not only on your content knowledge, but just take some timed practice tests and get used to the exam itself, not just the content. I would also apply as early as possible, at least the application and transcript pieces and submit the SAT in Nov. as soon as you have the scores. I'm pretty sure this will get your application reviewed faster than if you waited until you had the SAT scores before applying.
