<p>Live in NY, go to a very good specialized public school.. ranked one of the top in the nation.
GPA is low-ish though, 88.7.. out of 100.. not too many AP's either, took eng lit and got a 5... taking ap micro econ this term
SAT's are pretty good.. at least i think so 780math 760 verbal and 710 writing
Had an interview, visited and toured vandy on one of their prevu days.. don't know if any of that stuff matters

<p>You have solid SAT scores but it doesn't supplement your GPA especially given you haven't taken a challenge course load. Your ECs depend on your level of involvement, i.e. leadership positions, distinctions, etc. And do you think your recs are strong? Essays?</p>

<p>oh yeah, and visits don't matter for any colleges. Both my neighbor got into vandy and he never stepped a foot on the campus, and he got rejected from Rice even though he visited that place 3 times.</p>

<p>I do think you have a pretty good shot; Stuy is fantasic school and your GPA is coming from one of the most elite public schools in the country, so I wouldn't worry too much.</p>
