<p>Hey guys, I am going to be a senior a Magnet Program in Montgomery County. The workload is really intense and every year around 50% of the ppl go to top 20 universities. Here's my status and please reply.</p>

<p>Asian female, want to major in biology or bioengineering
*got in the IB program but decided to go to the Magent Science, computer science, and Math program(very hard, 800 for 100 spots)</p>

<p>GPA:Unweighted:3.88(all my B's were in Freshmen year, i maintained a 4.0 in both 10th and 11th grade)
weighted: around 4.65
Class rank: Top 10%</p>

<p>SAT: 2230(might retake in November)
SAT2s: 800 in Chinese, 780 in Math2, 720 in biology(Retaking in october)</p>

<p>APs Taken in 10th: Chinese(5), Government(5)
APs Taken in 11th: Cal BC, World, Biology, Lang, 2 Econs..expecting 4s or 5s on all of them
APs taking in 12th: Chemistry, Physchology, Physics and maybe other ones </p>

<p>Summer
9th grade: Montgomery Leadership Program
10th Grade: program atWalter Reed for 2 weeks and also a month of volunteering at NIH
11th grade: summer intern at NIH, will do poster and write a final paper(paid)</p>

<p>Extracurriculars(outside of school
-Lead Coordinator for this volunteering program that helps Kids who just came from China with their english and homework, I am in charge for about 50 tutors and tutees.
-12 years of Piano (no major awards, but i go to competitions and get placed every year)
-play piano for senior homes annullly
-the lead flutist for an orchestra
-place the highest rating in State festival for flute
-also take drawing lessons(im going to submit a portfolio)
-Science writing competitions-placed
-Chinese writing competition: international, placed 1st on year and then 3rd (as you can see, I am very involved with my culture)</p>

<p>Extracurriculars(in school)
-FIST- a program for teaching talented 7th grade girls science, I was a presenter(had to teach them how to make flubber =))
-School magazine:not editor in chief but im going to have a leadership role?
-French Honor Society
-Honors Society
-Honor Roll(for like....my whole life)
-Me and friends are starting a club next year involving biology, so im going to be a co-founder</p>

but can anyone recommend any good universities that does not take freshmen year into account while looking At the GPA? i only know stanford
without freshmen year i would have a 4.0 so it would help alot =)</p>

<p>A lot of these schools are southern/western, so I’m not too familiar with them, but I gave it my best</p>
