out of state =/

let me no if i can get in and if i cant what i can do to get it

Definitely got a good chance even for out of state. Your GPA/SATs are about admittance average though, just try and get your SATs to 2000s if you can. Your ex-curriculars are solid and good to see that you’ve been involved for at least 3-4 years on multiple sports/events. If you somehow get rejected, I still see you getting in on appeal. Best of luck!

i dont think u are getting in. I think if you can get ur act/sat score above a 31/2000 you would be 50/50. The reality is you are a borderline candidate for an in state student. For an out of state student your numbers need to be higher

i think the essay has so much to do with getting into UCSB because i have:
3.5 GPA
SAT: 1690
ACT: 23
had a really good essay
3 years Varsity swimming
4 year class VP
blah blah blah
and i got in and am going to UCSB next year! w00t w00t!

But i think just write a really good essay and your chances of getting in are greatly increased.

essays only comes into play when you’re on the fence. i mean come on, realistically, do you think the admissions can sit through and read 50k applicants essays at two a peice?
