CHANCES! ._. ._. Lawrenceville, Hotchkiss, St. Paul

Hey guys....I am currently an eight grader and my top three schools are lawrenceville, hotchkiss, and st paul. Do you think i have a chance of getting in............

91% ssat
straight A+
LOTS of extra-curriculars
strong reccommendations
good interview (i think idk)

I am scared for march 10 but i want to prepare myself if I dont have a chance of getting in.....

omg i feel so awko…i just saw a bunch of chance posts and they are really specific…

ok lemme start over

Grades: I have straight A+

ssat: verbal-85 math-91 reading-88 overall-91

extra-curriculars: newspaper editor, yearbook editor, dancer for 9 yrs, volleyball, mini model congress, ROGATE, acting, county science fair bronze medal, community service hours in a daycare every day for an hour, counselor in church, njit summer pre-college program

interviews: lmao you never know what they think of you but all my interviewers seemed really impressed by my activities. st paul lady was really shocked that i danced for 9 yrs so she recommended me to send one of my videos to the dance teacher. The lawrenceville lady seemed impressed as well. The hotchkiss lady really liked my ROGATE project…

i am pretty confident about my essays and i think they really show who i really am… ._.

well i guess thats it… i dont know what else to put…

I think you have a chance at getting at least wait listed at 1 school. Did you only apply to 3 schools though? Seeing as u did the NJIT thing makes me thing u are from the princeton/monty/West Windsor area where schools like those 3 get lots of applications from. Lville especially.

@squashisawesome No i applied to lawrenceville, st paul, hotckiss, loomis, exeter, kent, mercersburg , and pomfret… and im from north jersey ._. omg im scared now… but thanks

hey! I applied to Pomfret, Hotchkiss, St. George’s, Millbrook, and Loomis as a repeat junior/senior or whatever they will let me in as. Sounds like you’re an excellent candidate really! Idk how chances are either really aha but now I’m a bit worried as well lol my stats aren’t nearly as good, but I also may be recruited for some schools for squash so idk…I’d say not to worry right now–you’ve applied to a good solid 8…I’m sure you will be accepted into at LEAST three, if not more! I’m not sure about incoming freshmen, but I know as a junior/senior, it’s all about what you can offer and if there is enough room in their class size. :)

Hehehe lmao thanks I’m feeling much more confident now but u never know :frowning: I’m sure we will do fine and u have the squash thing going for u so u will probably get accepted into at least like 2 of your choices

@sarahpolo57 ^

Thanks :)) Let me know about what happens!!! I know you’ll be fine :)

Yeah sure same for you   @sarahpolo57

Hi! Im a freshman at SPS and I think you have a pretty good chance of getting in, well at least here lol. Im from North Jersey too! Represent. Today I chose to come back to this website randomly because I was bored. I used to be obsessed with this website and stocked everything that had SPS on it. Your SSAT scores are great and it is awesome that you have all of these extra curricular activities. SPS looks for a well rounded individual. SPS IS THE BEST!! Honestly I applied to many schools and SPS is truly the right decision I made. The campus is magical and everyone is so friendly. Feel free to reply with questions about anything. I mean ANYTHING! Don’t worry about M10. I know it is so stressful but hang in there and think positively. Good Luck!

@blessemy OMG thank you so much that means a lot hehe I loooooooooved St. Paul when I went to visit. It was in the fall so the leaves looked so pretty. mrs crutchfield interviewed me idk if you know her…I think she really liked me but idk! Hehe but I’ll definitely tell you if anything happens  I’m really nervous but thanks for your comment I feel much better

Hey! I’m from North Jersey, too, and I’m currently a 9th grader at Hotchkiss! Looking at your strong extracurriculars and SSAT scores and assuming that interviews went well, I’d say you have a good chance! I think something that AO’s look for is dedication, and you certainly show that with your nine years of dancing. As for March 10, everything ends up working out…know that Hotchkiss would be lucky to have someone like you! Just message me if you have any questions about the school or boarding school in general, and good luck!! :)
