Chances anyone?

Hey guys! So I've been looking at Vassar College and it seems like the perfect place for me. But there's always a catch. My GPA is definitely on the low side but my SAT is solid. Please chance me!

Other things: Guitar, bilingual. I am an immigrant from Russia and speak the language fluently. Recommendations should be really good from teachers and from work.

Thanks guys for chancing!

How does your W GPA shoot up ten points? Even with 5 AP’s mine only shot up like two haha, prolly since AP’s are +6 and Honors are +4.

But as for the chances, it’s totally fine bro, Vassar’s priority is Course Rigour (found in their common data set). Your ACT and SAT’s are exceptionally strong, and you have a very good chance.

Well our WGPA is built to “reward” hard classes because of their rigor. AP classes are worth 5.5 for an A and honors is a 5 for an A.

Thanks for the opinion as everyone here has these amazing statistics and it really makes someone feel insignificant.

I don’t really want to do this but BUMP.

wow you guys are lucky! My school doesn’t weight Honors only AP and you get 10% sux!

^^

No need to worry. Vassar, as well as almost all colleges, recalculates GPAs in order to create parity.
