Great teacher recs...great guidance rec..Hopefully the SAT score will go up but I'm also taking the ACT in February, so we shall see..Thanks for reading!

hmm are u sure you can get your scores in if you take the ACT in februrary. From what I hear is that unlike college board the ACTs don't release the scores online earlier like collegeboard does. I think after you take the test in Feb you need to wait till the end of February to get your score, and then send them. You should call your admissions officer from ND and find out what he/she thinks you should do.

I was planning on taking the ACTs becuz of my low SAT II scores, but I think that the end of Feb might be a little too late to send the scores in~

oh btw about your chanes. lol i almost forgot, good luck with those SAT Is. I'm taking them next week also b/c they definitely are not up to par with ND standards. ND is like all other competitive universities, very unpredictable...so I wouldn't worry, your ECs look great and your recs will definitely help!!~ Good luck!!!!!

Well I am a junior so I have some time to get my scores up. I've just been planning ahead and trying to get a good application. I've also tried to e-mail the counselor for my region who I've met before but she never sends anything back : / So I dont know what to do about that. thanks!

you might want to try and call them. my college counselor got in touch with the admissions person via phone. Although they did provide an email address on the site, they rarely respond, mine took me two weeks!!!!~ So try calling and good for you for planning early. I wish i did that~ :)

Well i guess you could say I've slightly been obsessing over ND since FOREVER and now that Im in HS with only a year left I've been trying to get everything together because I figure if Im going to apply I want to have a real shot at it. It's the only place I want to go...it just fits my personality so well!!

well, you're going to take the new SAT correct? maybe you'll do better on that. Really aim for whatever the equivilant to a 1400 on that is (i'm assuming 2100). If you get it up around there, i would recommend applying EA where the acceptance rate is ~50% because everything on ur app looks good enough. Just to make you feel better, i was ranked 43/402 1460 SAT with no really special EC's and i got in EA. your rank is way better than mine, just get that SAT up there and i would say you have a great shot.

I'm taking the SAT this saturday as well as the new one in March so we'll see what comes out better. I think the writing portion of the new one will be helpful to my scores. Thanks so much for the input.

sry... No EC's... Low SAT's... sry dude, try Villanova or Holy Cross

no ec's.. how can you call 5 clubs, 2 officer positions, weekly volunteer work at more than one place and being involved at church having no ec's...im not saying they're stellar ...but none? mmm not taking that post seriously at all.

haha that guy is such a jerk

im going to girls state!! does this mean anything at all...will it look good on my app or is it really nothing to them? i would think it would count as some kind of ec activity and i had to interview and be selected and all that stuff. hmm if it doesnt make any difference thats okay ill have a good time. i get to meet jeb!
