Chances are...you will chance me!!!

Here’s an example of a school profile:
http://www.whps.org/school/conard/guidance/Conard%20Profile%2007-08.pdf</a></p>

Nowhere does it mention the school’s awards, honors, etc.

Either way, the person reading your application will probably have some level of familiarity with your school and be aware of its level of competitiveness (regardless of awards). Speaking of which… Google tells me that Harvard, Brown, and Tufts seem to like your school. Maybe you’d have higher chances there if you like any of those schools… not to discourage your too much from Dartmouth. Best of luck!

Does your school have Naviance? If so, that should help you assess your chances.

Also, buffalowizard, my HS profile DOES show the awards I listed.

Here it is:

I was wrong on the internet. Thank you for correcting me.

The high school that you go is not a function of YOUR achievement – it is a function of your family’s achievement, to be able to live in a well-to-do area with excellent public schools.

Pizzagirl,

“The high school that you go is not a function of YOUR achievement”

No, but doing well in a very competitive school most definately is. Showing that my school is good only increases the worth of my grades.

Once again, high schools show their awards on their profiles for a reason!

Not quite. Intellectual achievement is a function of both intrinsic ability AND environment. There’s something about being around a bunch of motivated students…

I am curious about why everybody advices him to apply to UPenn for ED instead of Dartmouth?!
