Chances as an International Student

I am an international (living in the US) that is applying to U Richmond, Lehigh, Colgate, and Davidson.

These schools are need-aware to internationals and I need full financial aid, as my family is broke. If I was domestic, I know I would have a good chance for U Richmond and Lehigh, and would be in range for Colgate and Davidson.

How badly will my status and need for financial aid affect me?

My stats:
Class Ranking: 1 out of 76
Unweighted GPA: 4.000
Weighted GPA: 5.2889
New SAT: 1410
ACT: 32
SAT II: Literature 660, Math 1 630

Your status will affect your odds dramatically - since you need a full tuition or full ride scholarships, your odds are very low. Very, very, very few internationals get full rides.
Did you graduate from a US high school? Some states consider that whoever graduated from a HS there is “instate” for their public universities and have excellent scholarships for an ACT 32 (full tuition, even full rides). Look into it for your own state.
You still have time to apply to University of Alabama Huntsville, I believe you’d get a near full ride for those stats. It’s excellent for engineering.
If you’re interested in other subjects, look quickly at the lists pinned at the top of the financial aid forum.

@MYOS1634 Thanks

Care to elaborate?

Also do you have any APs or EC’s?

I need full financial aid

Yea that’s really going to hurt. I think your grades are good enough to make it into those schools but probably not full financial aid.

You can’t get student loans or federal aid b/c you are international student, nor can you sign up for ROTC for full ride (requires citizenship).
