but counselor average

One more thing:
I heard that Amherst primarily looks at grades and scores. Is this true?

come on, no one? :(

Hello delusionalyouth,
Your grades are very impressive and should warrant serious consideration from Amherst or any other top-tier school. You are to be congratulated on your hard work. I’m only a Dad, not a college admissions counselor, so I can’t say whether your scores and resume are sufficient for admission at Amherst. My daughter has grades almost exactly the same as yours and applied ED. Although she was “deferred” in Early Decision, she still hopes for RD admission. I’d certainly urge you to take a shot.

good luck and regards,
