I know my test scores are low, but I am rank 2 even though I have about 2 or 3 B’s and I was wondering if it would even make sense to apply to any ivy leagues?
Unless you are a recruited athlete or your parents have millions to donate, a 27 makes you a super super long shot. You need to look at the Common Data Sets of the schools you are considering and see where the 27 puts you relative to the entering freshmen class.
I personally think you need to clarify more before asking again about your shot. And I get the impression you don’t hsvr a solid idea what it takes. For starters many of the competition will have no B grades. Scores above 730/730, strong SAT2 and mostly 5 on AP. It’s that nuts.
In holistic, rank won’t swing you in, in the absence of other assets. Andvwhike kids think the competition is just for an admit, top colleges are looking at your prep for the 4 years.
I won’t say not to apply. But you must apply with savvy. They don’t rate you like your hs does. Not about most AP or sports awards. Did you ever look into what top colleges say they look for?
