Hi all! I am a new member to this site. Found out about its existence some time ago and decided to give it a go. Hey, it can only help!
I am currently a Community College student seeking to transfer in about a whole school year or less from now. I am an International Business major seeking to transfer to a top business school, God willing. UPenn, Columbia, and a few others are on my list. Here are some of my stats:

GPA: 3.95
Current Credits Completed: 38 (At the end of this semester)
Activites: President of the college's business club
Active member in Honor's society. (Will run for executive office next year)
Eagle Scout
I am planning to retake the SAT's as well since some schools require them. A community college wasn't my first choice, as I was accepted into several 4-year institutions my senior year. Unforseen circumstances arose such as finances, transportation, and work, so I withdrew my classes from my first semester of that 4-year school and am now attending a community college, after setting my affairs in order. Since I withdrew, I have no grades from that college. Thank God, I have been doing great ever-since. I was also promised letters of reccomendations from several of my professors thus far. I am also considered a minority student. Assuming I keep this GPA and continue to do well, what are my chances in these types of schools? What other schools should I look at as well? Any insight or response will be highly appreciated. Thank you, and I look forward to hearing from you soon!

Is it also better to get the associates degree before applying to such schools or transfer upon request? If you’re interested in my high school info, I will provide that as well.

Engarde, thank you for your reply. Concerning awards, I don’t have much academically, However I ran track in high school and broke two records. I also plan on running when I transfer. I recieved the Eagle scout award as I stated. I attended the scout Jamboree in 2005 and served as senior patrol leader for my local scout troop. I am currently in the college’s honor society. I have a chance at becoming the President of it next school year (I may be the only one running). I am passionate about business internationally. I hope to endeavor on business ventures across the globe. I am thinking of double majoring in international business and economics as well. I am leaving my options opened as to transfers right now. I live on the east coast and I don’t mind going attending a university that’s a distance from my home. If you have any suggestions on what schools I should look into, do not hessitate to suggest. Thanks.

If anyone can contribute to this post, I would greatly appreciate it I’m transferring soon, so I need to know what my chances are to these colleges as a transfer student. Thanks.
