Hi everyone,
Just wondering what my chances are as a transfer from a CC. If it matters I live in the DC Metro area.
Stats:
College GPA 3.75
Dean’s List Honors
I’ve been published for my photography in my college’s magazine
Student blogger for my college
Service learning projects - more than 100 hours of involvement.
HS GPA 3.89
SAT - it’s not required for transfers with more than 30 credits hrs, so I won’t be submitting mine.
If accepted, I would be transferring into AU with an AA degree; my intended major is business admin with emphasis in management. As well one of my grandparents is an alumni of AU does/will that make a different? And should I mention that aspect on my application (I am iffy about mentioning it)?
This isn’t even a question. Don’t stress this application.
Your going to get in. Americans average transfer GPA is a B+ at 3.3, Every year it keeps rising a little bit but your GPA is wayyyy above average. My guess is that you’ll be accepted into its honors program and receive at least $15,000 in scholarships.
Last semester I was accepted with an A.A. and a similar college gpa into Kogod. American is truly transfer friendly.
If you have any questions about the transfer process at AU, feel free to ask away
Hi,
That’s great to know, thanks! Especially because I have applied for admission into Kogod too.
Does AU generally award a far amount of transfer credits, in your experience? Also, I’m interested in having a minor outside of the business field, is that generally something students do at AU?
