Chances at Brown, UPenn, Carnegie Mellon, University of Chicago, and NYU

<p>I'm an African male living in NYC, and parents are middle class.</p>

<p>My school only offers 4 AP classes (3 i took), and 3 honors classes (i took 2)</p>

<p>I have pretty good recommendations, including one saying that I'm the most "original" student she's ever had.</p>

<p>UPenn will prob pose you with the most trouble, although you have great shots at all the schools. You should expand on ECs and make sure your essays are very well done. Carnegie and NYU should be safeties, unless your going for NYUs Stern program.</p>

<p>UPenn is an Ivy that's basically a Reach for just about everybody. Brown is also probably a Reach(but I don't think it would be as hard to get into as UPenn). University of Chicago, I would put as a Match.
Carnegie Mellon & NYU, I would say both are Match/Safties.</p>
