Chances at Brown?

GPA: 3.4 W (I know this looks awful, but please consider that the best GPA in the senior class this year is only 4.00 W. My school's harsh with grades+ i took most demanding courses)

Rank: somewhere between 25~30%

SAT1: CR 570 M 660 W 600 , which add up to 1830. I took my first SAT this October. The scores are much lower than i expected. I am taking another one in December and i am very positive i'll be able to raise my score to 2000-2100 range.

SATII: Taking German in November, and Math and Biology in January (this won't be too late for Brown, right?).
Expectations: German 750~800 Math 750 Biology 700~750

APs: Psychology 5 German 5 Caculus AB 4 Biology 4
taking this year : Chem, European His, Statistics, English

College Essay: I am very creative ;)

ECs: I have very very weak ECs.. Just a few small school activities, no leadership position at all.. ( i wans't thinking about going to college in the US until the end of my junior year. The schools i considered before dont care about ECs that much.. that's why )

Work experience: intership at korean embassy, hospital, both 30 hours

Nationality/ gender: korean(living in germany)/ female

Special qualities: I speak English, German and Korean fluently, and also speak tiny bit of spanish.

Possible Major: Pre-dental , Biology

I know i am aiming way too high. But I have a lot of safety schools in Germany so it won't hurt me very much even if i dont get into Brown.
i am just curious if there is even a tiny bit of chance for me, since i really really love everything about Brown. :)

To be frank, no.

Agree with tetrisfan, unlikely. But try anyway, it doesn't hurt (well except for the application fee).

Yeah, I was expecting that answer.. but it's still depressing.. Thanks anyways

Maybe any optimistic opinions?? Or advice on what i could do for next 2 months?? (except for donating $$$ ;)) Assuming that i get around 2300 on the SAT, and have a real good essay (i think these are the only things i can still improve:() would it still be nearly impossible?

Do you have American citizenship?

Brown: REJECT

harvard44: Assuming that i get around 2300 on the SAT

How do you plan to raise your SAT score almost 600 points? There's really nothing on your stats that are that impressive...except the internship at the embassy. Try to get a lot of awards and do more volunteer hours.

Right now your stats aren't even good enough for University of Mississippi...it is even harder if you don't have citizenship, btw.

ouch you guys are harsh

be nicer, sheesh...
Well, I think that if you play out the Korean Embassy thing, then maybe bc that is really unique. HOWEVER (here comes the mean part), your SATs are too low. if you could raise it to 2100 at least, then you may have a chance.

When you say bringing up to 2300, that, I'll tell you, is HARD! I took SAT classes since the sixth grade and still only got 2310 (maybe I'm just stupid then...). but good luck!

hey, I'm a Korean living Germany! Which universities do u wanna go in Germany?
