What are my Chances? Worried...

Hi. I want to apply to both Stanford and Brown (maybe Yale) and I would greatly appreciate any feedback. I'm a junior, but I'll list my stats as if I'm a senior based on what I know I'm gonna do with ecs and other stuff next year.

GPA W: 4.7 (i think the highest at my school might be 5)
class rank: 20/520-top 4 percent.

SAT 1 (not taken yet, practices are around 2100, sometimes less)
Subject Tests:
Japanese with Listening 790
World History: 740
(may take either Math 1 or 2, don't know what I would get)

Honors:
National Honor Society
National German Honor Society

ECs:
Track and field (indoor and outdoor)-all four years
German Club-all four years
-president (11-12)

honors string ensemble (school based community service orchestra comprising of top 25 string players)-(11-12)
NYSSMA/Area all state (hard to explain, those in NY may know what I'm talking about. Basically it involves auditions and getting into a very hard orchestra for one really big performance every year)-(10-12)
I also help my Japanese teacher with her younger students class every Tuesday as well as help her with kids my own age. I'm basically am a volunteer 2 hours/weekly teaching assistant. (10-12)

Essays:
I'm a pretty good essay writer and I feel like I can communicate myself well through these.

any feedback would be greatly appreciated. and I thank anyone who bothers reading this really long (i apologize) post.

bump.............

Your SAT score will really affect your admission. I think if you can get over a 2100, you should be a good shape. Other than that, everything else looks good. These schools are crapshoots though, so no one can really say.

Answer to your question: yes.

what do you mean by yes? I didn't mean that in a rude way but I didn't ask a yes or no question.

any other opinions?

They're all reaches for 99.9% of the highschool student population. Stanford had gone down particularly hard on cut-off rates this year, as did Brown and Yale. Columbia has also reached a record low.

Your SAT would definitely have to be higher in order to get a better chance. Try at least a 2200. Besides that, your EC's work well.

Good luck.

def. shoot for 2250+ for the schools you mentioned above.

Ps- I just applied to college for 2012 and I am a New Yorker. I figured out is sounds much better to say "Zone "w/e" All-State", because technically you are not lying and it sounds better than Area-All State
