Japanese VI (not usually offered at my school-taken through special arrangement)

(My math/science placement was messed up the past, but I'm fairly good when it comes to anything but Geometry.)

The Japanese program at my school is very well regarded. The teacher is on the AP board, and we frequently dominate speech contests and regional Japan Bowls. Last year, a team even won nationals!)

I'm not a URM in traditional sense of the words, but I do have one of those "interesting/challenging" backgrounds.

Of the two choices I use to categorize people who want to know their chances, either "have a shot" or "don't have a shot," you definitely fit into the former.

What major at CALS? That matters.

Opps, I ment CAS... Sorry, I was rushing out the door as I was rushing out the door. Major? I want to do Bio but I also want to study Japanese a bit (can't just give it up so soon).

whats the difference in bio major in cals/as/he?

i heard there is literally no difference.

meaning they all take it together....HE, CALS, and CAS ppl take bio together, not segregated by school

what about the tuition difference, why would someone pay 20000 more to go to cas? or they all pay the same tuition?

well, if you are a bio major, it makes no sense. However, if you want to major in english/classics/economics/chemistry/physics, etc.. that is only offered in CAS, then it makes sense.

i'd say you have a really good shot at getting in.
