Are you applying Early Decision or Regular Decision? They filled over half the class last year with ED students leaving only about 250 spots for RD applicants. And since so many kids from Connecticut apply there, they can pick who they want, and it does not appear to be based on stats. My son applied RD and had higher stats, with very strong ECs including a lot of leadership and was waitlisted. Good luck to you.

Your GPA and verbal scores are much too low right now. While your school may not rank, do you know where you fall on their GPA chart? To be competitive at Colby, you would typically need to be at least in the top quintile.
Make sure you consider easier schools as well, as Palermo pointed out Colby is very competitive and becoming more so. The admissions folks will look for you to demonstrate commitment and a high level of performance on all fronts: academics first with AP/honors classes, followed by outstanding ECs and with long-term, substantive time given to volunteer activities. If you are a sophomore, you have time to build your record. Otherwise, you may want to consider other options. There are many great schools out there!
