your scores are on the weak side, but the great thing about colby is that they really really take into consideration other parts of your application. I think that the things you have done with lawyers and such show that is something you are interested in. did you express this in your app?

Depending on your essays (which i think are really really important) i think that you have a viable shot at getting into Colby. but i am just another senior who wants to go to colby next year too.

GOOD LUCK!!

Colby is superbly strong in political science/government. There is a very interesting article in the current issue about the number of Colby grads/students involved in political campaigns - way out of proportion to the size of the college.
I agree with woohoo your stats are low and your course of study isn't very aggressive compared to other Colby applicants. Great thing you are in at UMass, your best shot here is to have outstanding recs/essays and interview. Best of luck!

Sorry, I meant to say Colby magazine, here is the link:

my essays were great. I wrote the main one about an EC, web design (my business), and I wrote the supplement about my freshman year and what I learned from it. my gpa freshman year was a 2.4/2.8. I had a huge upward trend to a 3.7/3.7 sophomore and 4.3/4.2 junior. My interview also went great we talked a lot about all of the opportunities for polysci majors and interships with lawyers, etc. I knwo i'm not a really strong candidate scores wise but i'm hoping my ECs/essays/interview can get me in.
