Chances at Colgate

<p>really odd I did really bad on SAT and have an A- GPA
-brainstormers, mathletes, no community service, no national honor society, tennis for 2 years, volleyball for one, individual awards at school for art, spanish, english for 1 yr for each and I am a firehouse junior explorer</p>

<p>Math: 610, Verbal 570 one test = 1180
Math: 700, Verbal 530 oth. test = 1230</p>

<p>My qesution is what are my chances at colgate. I'm south korean. I thought my chance was pretty much 7% according to the stats, but they keep sending stuff, they sent 3 big packages and 4 letters. Is it because they are a high minority school? Why are they interested? BTW, ill say tho for the DEC test I probably got around Verbal 600-620, Math 750 which could hopefully get me a 1350+</p>

<p>Colgate is one of the schools that I'm considering too. How did you get them to send you stuff and be so interested?</p>

<p>thats the funny thing, i just sent my sat II scores, my SAT I scores and act scores to them, none of which were impressive</p>

<p>SAT 1 math 700 verbal 530</p>

<p>SAT 2 math 1 680 math 2 580 writing 590</p>

<p>ACT 25 (82% overall)</p>

<p>I guess its cause im a minority or something</p>

<p>I'm a minority too. But, did you send in your scores when you sent in your application? Or for something else?</p>

<p>nah, i sent nothing to colgate, just my score reports</p>

<p>i get tons of stuff from them as well im not a minority either, they are at the top of my list as well i have a 1280 and such i hope we both have a chance.</p>
