Chances at colgate?

These are my stats:
*IB Diploma-Predicted 40 points.
*International applicant
*Extracurriculars: AIDS shelter, soup kitchen, blind school, tutoring etc.
*National Team and national champion for my sport
*3 teacher reccomendations- all really good
*Applying to biological sciences-Biochem.
*7 (Bio),7 (ita),6(chem) in HL subjects
*Really good college essays (I worked on them for like a month).
Problem is that i only took the SAT's once (I decided to apply kinda late) and so i got a really bad score-1720 as i had no idea what these tests were like-I had never heard of them before...The school counsellor sent attached a document on the commonapp explaining the situation (ofc not saying i decided to apply late) and saying i would send the january SAT's asap. We also sent an email saying the same thing and they replied to apply anyway and that they could not grant anything but also saying that that should be fine.
Basically im really confused and worried, what are my chances of getting in at Colgate?

It doesn’t look like a sure shot with the SAT scores you have, but you can always retake. And if your GPA is great it shouldn’t drag your application down too much.

An IB diploma with 40 predicted points is quite a lot and, weighted, yields, more than 4.0. Aim for 2100+ on the SAT (or 31+ on the ACT)

Your biggest EC is a national championship in a sport; if your sport is done as a varsity team at Colgate, your hopes for that school ride on that. Aim for the division I schools for that sport as well.

I think that if you’re able to bring your SAT up considerably, possibly even above 2000, you would stand a much, much better shot at being accepted. The IB diploma will definitely be in your benefit

Being the national champion for your sport will help you tremendously, and like Catria said, if you consider playing that sport for Colgate, they’ll be a lot more likely to accept you, possibly on a full ride.

Also, Catria, what did you mean when you said a score of 40 towards an IB Diploma gives more weight than a 4.0?
