Chances at Cornell, please?

Hi,

I am currently a senior in high school applying ED to the animal science major of the College of Agricultural and Life Sciences (CALS) at Cornell.

=PROFILE=
White Female
New York
GPA: 4.0 UW
Class Rank: My school doesn't rank but I'm first in my grade

=TEST SCORES=
ACT 31 (I took the ACT in June for the second time and improved and got a 31. I took it again this month and just found out that I got a 31 again...very annoyed since I was getting 32s+ in practice tests and not sure if I want to take it again in October. Will this hinder my chances?)
(English 35, Math 30, Reading 32, Science 28) :(

ALSO - In terms of my school's history with Cornell, my college counselor showed me that everyone who's gotten accepted from my school has had lower GPAs and ACT/SAT scores, so he said I'm in a good place in that way (?)

=CLASSES=
- All As in all of my classes from 9th grade to present

I've taken the most rigorous classes my school offers (it is small so does not offer many APs)

Senior year courses - AP English Literature, Post AP Calc Advanced Problem Solving, AP Human Geography, AP Spanish, Honors Latin 5, Honors Physics, Handbells (music elective)

Other APs I've taken - AP Calculus and AP Biology

=EXTRA-CURRICULARS and VOLUNTEERING=
- Cornell University Summer College (summer of 2014) - Class in veterinary medicine - I got 3 college credits, an A+, and a 4.3 GPA at Cornell
- Internship at the MSPCA Animal Shelter/Hospital in Boston (summer of 2013)

- Volunteering at the ASPCA in my city (grade 11, 12)
- Volunteering with a pets program, walking dogs for senior citizens who can't themselves (grades 10, 11, 12)

- School Community Service Board Leader (grades 10, 11, 12)
-Awards: National Latin Exam - Summa Cum Laude and Maxima Cum Laude (grades 9, 10, maxima in 11)

=ESSAYS/RECS=
- I have written my common app essay and have been told it is very strong. It's responding to the prompt about a place in which you are most content
- Finalizing my supplement for Cornell and it is also pretty good
- Recs from English teacher/advisor and AP bio teacher - expect them to be good as well

=HOOKS=
- No hooks :/
- I'm not sure if going to the Cornell University Summer College will help but I've heard it does because Cornell is also concerned a lot with "fit"
- Also getting a letter of recommendation from a Cornell alumna who is still very involved with her class and relationship with Cornell

If anyone has additional suggestions or advice, please let me know. Cornell is really my dream school with the animal science major (I want to be a vet too), even more so since I've spent a month there, and just really hope I can get in.

THANK YOU TO WHOEVER READS ALL OF THIS

Does the Cornell alumna know you very well? Will her recommendation add anything about you to your application? There are thousands of Cornell alumni. Unless this person knows you better than anyone else, her letter is useless.

@Ranza123 She does know me well, and she is best friends with my aunt who also went to Cornell. She even set up my parents and my aunt and uncle, and I think her recommendation will add substantial information.
Can you chance me too?

@hopefulrm‌ Wow, you are very impressive. You should give me some tips for my senior year. lol. But I think that Cornell should consider you? Like, you should prepare for interviews and keep track of when can you schedule an interview?

@barcakid39 Haha how thanks, I hope colleges agree with you. I hope Cornell considers me! Cornell doesn’t require or let anyone not applying to the College of Architecture or School of Hotel Administration have interviews. They give out alumni interviews, but those are offered after applications are in. So, we’ll see.

Can anyone chance me?
