<p>Hi everyone! I'm a white female from North Carolina and Davidson is my top choice (I'll be graduating in 2012). I want to go sooo bad but I'm starting to worry a bit about being accepted. Can anyone tell me what they think my chances are?
My only worry is I have several leadership positions that were 1 yr positions, and but I think when you see (and when the admissions sees) you'll realize why its like that. Also, I don't have very many ECS, but the few I do I'm pretty dedicated to, except 1 really thats kind of a side thing. It was writing for the Times News (see below) - I never went to weekly meetings (of the 30 that were writers, only about 8 consistently attended...the meetings weren't required) but I did write articles for them.
Thanks!</p>
<p>Grades/classes:
Straight As, excpet one B (highest B possible) freshman yr in physics :(
Freshmen/Sophomore yr - no AP classes... I got to a small college prep school where we have 8 periods a day. I take 7 classes (the most anyone can take). Basically, all freshmen and sophomore take honors level courses. Can't really start taking APs until Junior/Senior yr
Junior yr - AP bio and AP US (3 on bio exam, 4 on us) plus english, french III, pre-calc
Senior yr - AP Calc, AP Physics, AP Euro plus english, online french IV class
I've taken art all 4 yrs (studio art, then watercolor) and have taken yearbook 10th-12th
BTW - all the aps i've taken are the only ones our school offers....there aren't any other ap classes unless you want to take them independently online</p>
<p>ECs:
Relay for life - 10,11,12th...team founder and captain will have raised a little over $3,000

Junior/senior yr- we finally got a swim team, so I swim</p>
<p>Awards/Honors:
Honor Code Committee member - 9th....My school was brand new (it was only in its second yr when I came as a freshmen), so a group of students got together to write the schools honor code. I was chosen to be the one to actually write the honor code
Honor council member - 11/12....disciplinary board, teacher nominated and student elected juniors and seniors only
Community Service Committee member - 10th...like the honor code committee but for our school's community service..I also wrote it
