Wow - you're school seems so uncompetitive...

hmmm...I'm sorry, but with those stats, you have no chance.

Ok..Lol...I'm just kidding, but seriously, you don't even need to ask with stats like those.

"Wow - you're school seems so uncompetitive..."

what was that comment supposed to imply?

how does her school seem uncompetitive? she said nothing about her school in the post, so i dont see where that comment comes from..

and could you guys be a little more clear? first you say she has no chance, and then you say "you dont even need to ask with stats like those." does that mean they're bad stats or good stats or what?

also..had a quick question about the drexel bs/md...do they give you a full ride to the school if you get into that med program or no? b/c i know drexel is a private university and it costs like 50 grand per year..

I'm sorry. I wasn't trying to be rude; I meant that she has good stats.
As for the full ride thing, I'm not so sure.

No, you're fine. I was just wondering why the person thought that my school was so uncompetitive?

Umm, no idea bout Drexel, but with USC. SAT score might need to be higher.

Plus, your EC's seem to be all over the place, USC looks for individuals who have excelled in one or two areas.

But, I would encourage you to apply, and see how it goes.

How many spots are available for the Drexel and USC BS/MD?

I got into the Drexel program last year, but chose another program instead. I agree with everyone else, your SAT scores are a bit low. You extracurriculars are not very strong as well, but I think if you had a good essay you should be okay.

thecoolchica: may i ask which program you chose to attend and why?

Everyone should work really hard on their essays, that's for sure.

You seem like a very hard worker.

I liked that you teach CPR.

What is a Sports Medicine trainer?

lol...on cc everyone has like 834631083774281732 activities and listing anything less seems like a big change, go you!
nice EC w/ being a sports medicine trainer! you have a decent chance...

Being a sports medicine trainer involves treating athletes in manners of preventive taping measures, rehabilitation with different modalities such as STIM, ultrasound, whirlpool, evaluation of injuries such as Cervical Spine, Concussions, Ankle Injuries, Should Injuries, Back Injuries, etc. A lot of it entails independent learning and mentoring. For example, this is my second year doing it so I'm expected to learn all my competencies (rehabilitation, tape jobs, and more evaluations) by myself and teach 1st year trainers their competencies. Our semester requirement is 150 hours of training. Also, I'm a certified professional rescuer and in first aid.

danggg...thats awesome

Impressive

How about my chances?
