chances at duke, chicago, hopkins, vandy?

<p>I'm applying to duke, university of chicago, johns hopkins, vanderbilt, emory, and carnegie mellon. what are my chances?</p>

<p>I know my gpa's on the low side, but i feel really good about my essays and my letters of rec. so what r my chances? pls b honest</p>

<p>also, does it help that i hav an upward grade trend? i got a 3.83 1st semester soph yr. 4.15 2nd semester soph yr. and 4.5 both semesters junior yr</p>

<p>Yeah, having an upward trend definitely helps. Your GPA is a bit low but your course load is rigorous. Also, solid SATs and Subject Tests.</p>
