What are my chances at Duke, Northwestern, UChicago, UMich, Vanderbilt, Columbia, Georgetown, Stanford, Johns Hopkins, Notre Dame, Boston College, BU, Wash U at St. Louis, Syracuse, and SUNY Binghampton

african american, female

3 AP classes is not rigorous…

i’m taking all the APs offered for juniors at my school, and i’m taking 6 next year

All of these colleges definitely look at what your school offers so even if you don’t have that many APs as long as you are taking the most rigorous courses available you should be fine. I really can’t see you getting rejected from any of these schools besides maybe Stanford. Your grades probably aren’t up to par with Stanford but you definitely have the extras to get in. Really impressive I think you’ll be happy with the decisions

With affirmative action, your chances look pretty good. That’s all anyone can say for these top schools. Good luck!

@STheart

she can (and hopefully will) get into these colleges regardless of AA, so please quit being ignorant

@OP, you can do it, just write your best essays

good luck
