The notification date for EA admission to JMU has already passed (Jan 15 or a little earlier). Are you trying for regular decision admission? I think you have a very strong chance – lots of advanced classes and good grades in them. You also have a strong upward trajectory in your grades each year. Your activities are great, and JMU will love your involvement in marching band (as they have one of the top college marching band programs in the country). Also, you just apply to the university as a whole – not directly to business. While you can list an intended major when you apply, you are not held to that once you’re a student there. You can change your mind. Also, you will still have to meet business school prerequisites once you’re at JMU – the prescribed classes and a GPA minimum – and apply to be accepted into the major sometime during the second half of sophomore year (to enter the major as a junior). I believe as long as you meet the prerequisites and grade requirements, you generally are accepted. I know that some of the prerequisites include two math classes (calculus or statistics or some of both), two semesters of Econ (micro and macro), managerial accounting, and maybe another accounting class. You can look up the prerequisites on the business major part of the JMU website or in the undergraduate catalog (also available on-line).

I concur with CLM spibif, you have a most impressive curriculum vitae. A challenging course of study and outstanding EC’s. JMU would be lucky to have you!
