chances at ED?

hi i'm thinking of doing IR and i'm totally psyched for WM. here are some quick stats:

Rising junior

Half-hispanic

3.5 UW/4.5 W GPA (I barely passed one class tho, so that's something to keep in mind. I don't know what happened! But I guess this might actually be a good thing, since I'm totally pumped for school in order to make up for it so you never know.)

2250 SAT

Two SAT II's above 700, Two SAT II's above 750

international student

Top 7% in very competitive/well-known high-school (around 900 kids per class)

Will start IB diploma program this fall

very unique background

Great EC's, leadership positions

I get along very well with teachers so I'm expecting great rec's

May get athletically recruited by DIII schools or some lower-tier DI's (haven't decided whether i wanna play in college yet)

anyway thanks a lot and i appreciate it!

I think you stand a very good chance. You might even be eligible for the Monroe scholarship. Look that up on the school's website. - Do the best you can in the IB courses, and go for an interview, if possible.

Keep doing well and you will be in.

In state, I would say in, out of state is a little harder. But even out of state I would say you stand a good chance, particularly from a less represented geographical area.

yea i'm an international student so i'll be out of state. thanks for the replies so far? anyone have any tips on what to improve and what they look for?

My son was accepted OOS with stats not as good as yours. He demonstrated interest during his interview and then by staying in touch with the admissions office.

I would be very surprised if you weren't admitted.
Good luck...it's a great school and S is very excited to have been accepted.

what sport?
