Hey so I'm new here and I figure you guys probably get these questions all the time. I tried asking on Yahoo Answers and well....that was Yahoo answers. I know it really depends, but just wondering based on my information if anyone could give me an idea of my chances.

Class Rank: 16/277 (6%)
GPA: Rougly 90/91 Weighted on a 100 Point Scale
2 AP Classes Total
6 Honors Classes Total

SAT Reasoning Test:
Critical Reading: 690
Mathematics: 710
Writing: 800 (they'll see it even if they don't heavily consider it....it can't hurt right?)

SAT Subject Tests:
Literature: 700
Mathematics Level 2 (Without having finished Pre-Calc): 530
French: 440 (Even though I always get A's in French)

I fantastic letter of rec, one pretty good one.

Awesome essays I think.

Pretty good interview.

Job at a grocery store, FBLA a couple years, NYLC one summer, placed in SIFE competition.

Not to burst your bubble or anything, but I would say probably not. What other extracurriculars are you involved in? Critical reading on the SAT is low, as are all of your SAT IIs.

My job takes up a lot of my time. So, I’m not even qualified or you just don’t think I’ll get in?

I think you’re qualified, certainly. I wouldn’t say you’re a definite No. And I think subject tests are optional at Georgetown right? So I don’t know how they will view your SAT II scores, since they are kind of low, but your regular SAT scores are fairly competitive. But Georgetown, as with other schools of its caliber, have become increasingly competitive.

Yeah I know. And no, GTown and Harvard are the only two schools that require 3 SAT II’s. But, the 700’s not bad given i only took it once and haven’t taken AP english classes. The 530 is excusable because I didn’t finish precalc yet and that’s what Math II covers. And, the 440 is kind of passable since I do exceptionally well in french class and my french teacher wrote me the nicest letter of rec ever.

I thought it was worth trying since i do have some strong points.

Princeton requires 3 SAT IIs.
