Chances at getting into UT Austin Cockrell Engineering ChemE?

Hi, im a white, will be senior and i was wondering what my chances of getting into Cockrell ChemE are.

Ethnicity: White
Class rank: 20/862 (2.3%) (All my grades are above 94's, yet i play tennis and am in the orchestra)
GPA: 6.75(Texas scale, out of 7, about 3.952 unweighted)
SAT: 2140 (Will retake and hopefully will raise my reading score)
Math: 780
Reading: 580 (Im just dead awful at this section, will retake once more to get above 600)
Writing: 780

Subject Scores (not too great but i dont think UT cares too much about these):
Chem: 710
Math 2: 740
US History: 740

Ap classes:
Chem, US history, psychology, government, statistics, calc bc, economy, english III, English IV, Physics C, and possibly art history

Awards:
Rensselear Medal, State TCEA robitics 3rd place and regional 1st and 3rd place. Comp Sci Award, Orchestra solo and ensemble superior ratings in string bass and violin. Duke TIP state recgonition for math.

EC's: Engineering camp at UT last summer, Interning at a natural gas company, NHS, Key Club, Tennis, Orchesta (Vice president, play violin and string bass), Computer Science club (Vice President), possibly president of Student Secular Alliance, depends on whether or not our administration will pass it.

Letters of rec will be awesome

So thats about all that i can think of atm, plz tell me what you think! Also i realize i reposted almost the exact same thing but i feel like getting a new opinion as circumstances have changed.

Bump, and i meant to add that i wish to do honors engineering.

Bump, please answer someone :P

I think you are in

Could anyone plz clarify/negate whatDarth said?

I said you should probably get in with all your awards ECs leadership positions and academics though in my opinion your CR looks low (but its still in the 50th percentile so don’t worry)

Doesn’t UT Austin have a minimum requirement for AP Calculus if you want to get into engineering program? If you are over that requirement then I see no need for you to worry

Sorry, my last comment was a little vague but thanks for commenting! Yea my CR is unvbelievably low which dissappionts me a ton but i hope my high writing and math score will make up for that (even though i dont think they weigh writing very heavily). Also yes they have a calculus readniess program, and i have the requirements as a junior, its not very difficult.

Could anyone else offer an opion plz?

*opinion… fail

Bump, plz ppl! Ill chance you back…

Hey man, just got your notification. I got into Cockrell for ChemE and the honors program (and offered a $5000/year engineering scholarship) with similar stats (mine were a little better), but you’ve got some really nice math/science related awards and ECs that I definitely didn’t have. By my judgement, you’re into Cockrell without a doubt. I have no idea how selective the honors program is, but pretty darn sure you’d get in there as well as long as you can write some solid essays.

Sweet, thanks man!
