-17; senior in the fall;female
-competitive highschool; Ranks 31st in all of US
-Asian Indian
-gpa: 3.2 uw, 3.6w
-sat: 1890 (for now, with practice tests I'm getting a 2130. I've only taken it once; will take again in fall)
-AP Biology-3
AP Psycholgy-4 (will be taking AP Human Geography,AP English, and AP Calculus AB next year)
- ECs: Indian cultural dance for 11 years (recently did a huge solo performance; danced for 3 hours), speech and debate for 4 years( including next year) secretary junior year, project ME for two years(club that goes around to restaurants asks to donate cooking oil to certain companies; school gets large percentage of profits) will be president next year, DECA for three years( business and entrepreneurship club) will be vice president of finance next year, got accepted into Leadership 2 (ASB)for next year, working for two years at local tutoring center(have to be chosen by the director; can't apply. So i guess it's prestigious)
- 90+ community service hours
-Received many awards in speech and debate competitions and received 3rd place at California state DECA competition; qualified to go to nationals in Florida</p>
<p>I'm really good at public speaking and am very outgoing. I know my numbers aren't that great, but I'm hoping my extra curriculars are pretty solid. I'm thinking about doing something business related. I think I might apply as a business or even public relations major. In the future I want to be able to do something that allows me to interact with a lot of people on the business side of things, but also get a high income as well. I need help finding good reach, safety, and match schools. I'd prefer to go to a private school as well. I reallllly want to get into NYU or USC. Do I have a chance? Also for my teacher recs, I've asked my ap psych teacher and my history teacher. As a supplement, I'm planning on asking my boss who is a well-known English teacher at my school( she has won many local,state, and national awards). I wouldn't say I'm so much book smart, but I am definitely world/people smart if that makes any sense.
