Hello! I've just submitted my Georgia Tech application for the October 1st deadline and I was wondering what you thought my chances were. I applied summer session but I mentioned in the additional information section that I'm open to either summer or fall. Don't know if this affects anything...

Anyway, here's some background. I'm a white girl, out of state and graduating a year early from an accredited homeschool program. I applied for a major in Global Economics and Modern Languages but even so, I'm worried my score is going to affect me.

On the Tech scale, I have a 3.93 GPA and a 31 ACT with a 26 in math, 36 in English, and 31 in writing. I haven't received my latest writing score though, and I'm thinking it's going to improve since my English score went up.

I've taken 10 AP classes (Art History Bio, Chemistry, English Language, English Literature, Macroeconomics, Psychology, Statistics, US Gov't and Politics, and US History) 7 honors classes, and four years of French.

As far as extra curriculars go, I've been working as a paid intern at a production company for two years, I've done some local competitions in fencing and sailing, written children's book reviews, been a member and volunteer for the local Hispanic society (I'm white non-hispanic) and held low-level leadership positions in both the chess and math clubs I belong to. I've also attended CTY John Hopkins for the past four years. I'm a little worried about my lack of leadership, I don't really know how Tech feels about that...

But basically, just let me know what you think! There's not a whole lot I can do now since I've already sent my application off but I'd love to hear any opinion on my chances.

Please let me know too if you have any questions.
