<p>rmadden is right. It's all about having varied interests and varied areas of strengths. Harvard and MIT are amazing schools because the students that go there are extremely high-achieving in all the disciplines, not just math, or science. I would look into Caltech, which might be a little more (but not much more) forgiving with regard to GPA.</p>

<p>If your "i'm the most qualified in the country" attitude translates onto your essay and application, then I can PROMISE you that you will not get into any of your reach schools, the last thing AO's need is a concieted applicant. Not saying that you are of course...... however I have to warn you, no matter how good you think you are, there will always be someone better, keep that in mind. I know a kid who now goes to caltech but was a year away from a PhD in math his junior year in high school... mind you he was autistic but still, ridiculously gifted..........</p>
