My recommendations will be excellent. They are from my French and math teachers. I scored the highest in my school on the provincial standardized grade 12 advanced math exam, chemistry exam, and physics exam. My math teacher once said he didn't understand how a student (me) could get marks so high in his class. My French teacher thinks I am one of the most outstanding students he has ever encountered.

I have an excellent relationship with my guidance counselor and will receive good ratings from her.

Nice stats. Of course with these elite schools, nothing is ever sure, but I'd say you have a good chance.

First of all, your academics are outstanding. You'll always hear that what's more important is having a passion, but almost always you need a strong academic base. Your test scores are impressive, as is your GPA and class rank.

What's really great is your obvious passion for math and the fact that you have distinguished yourself in that field, not just participated. And the other little things, like working, definitely bolster it up to make you seem like a very all-over-the-place (but at the same time, focused) person.

I get tired just looking at your resume! But really, I'd say a good shot.

applying to harvard from canada is very hard...i'd make sure i had a good list of schools, because although your numbers are phenomenal, you're EC's leave a little to be desired, and there is no "hook" and no great academic accomplishment outside of school. All in all, though, I'd say 50/50 for Harvard EA.

Please ignore the previous comment. Your ECs are amazing and you seem like a very impressive applicant. The only fault I can find is that you do too much - I can't see a clearly defined focus or passion. When your list of ECs is too long, they all seem to blur together into an unintelligible mess. But I'd still say your chance of admission is very strong. It's just that... you seem a like a "perfect student" robot, and I might be wrong, but I think top schools want real people, not perfect people.

So are you applying as an international applicant?

I think you have a great shot. I'm rooting for you!
