Yeah under 2000 SAT - unless you’re a recruited athlete, won’t get you into any top college, unless you have a crazy URM circumstance. You need to completely revise your college list. UCLA should be one of your reaches. Don’t even think about Stanford. It’s harsh, but its true. You don’t want to experience a rude awakening next April when you don’t get into any of the schools on your college list.
@swampdraggin i am aware that the highest Sat score i can get is a 2000 and perhaps 2100 if i am lucky. However i am also aware that applying to Stanford is merely a shot to try to win the lottery, however the latter schools are parts of my reach universities. I have always been too ambitious, and i believe that is the way to go, as long as i apply without having high hopes. Ofcourse i have a realistic list, that includes Georgia tech, UCSD, Perdue, and many other fit universities. As to location and all that other stuff, i have been living in a desert ever since i was born, so going to any place in the United States will fascinate me, (believe me i liked Nebraska). Plus i am very adaptable ( i have moved a lot in my life), and the only major thing i care about is getting the best education and finding myself.
Thank you for the Reply!
@MrWiggles as i have stated before in my comments, these schools are my absolute reach. I was going to neglect stanford in my application, but i have that 99 dollars to spare, so why not give it a shot. Also, I will be retaking the Sat with the highest possible score of 2000, do you then i would have a shot? maybe not at stanford, but berkley, UCLA, and northwestern.
Also, my community service project is what is keeping my chances of getting into stanford from being annihilated, as it is impressive.
@rfaamsia Who said it was impressive other than yourself? Can you elaborate on this project? Either way, you need the stats first before talking about a community service project. Having too low stats will make the community service project mean nothing
Sorry to be the bearer of bad news, but it’s not worth the application fee to waste your time applying to Stanford, Berkeley, and Northwestern. UCLA is still a reach but a little better chance. I would definitely make sure to have plenty of safeties. EC’s will take you far, but with a sub-2000 SAT, you don’t stand a chance.
@tigerrocks13, lets assume that i have a 2000 Sat score, as i will be retaking the Test. Would i then stand a chance at Berkley and Northwestern ?
You would need a 2200 for just an AVERAGE chance as a US student.
Nope, sorry. The GPA also hurts you pretty bad.
