hopefully some more will be added.

I got some more ECs, but these are pretty much that will be written down on the app, I guess, since there are not many slots.

Chances plz???
I'm interested in Chem, Bio, Engineering, or Premed. Somewhere around there.

I would say you have a chance, but not a great one. Many students in your demographic will have higher scores. You need a higher SAT Reading score and better (deeper) ECs.

Reach, and that goes for everyone. Apply to more schools than that. I've seen people get flat out rejected by all.

Thanks for your opinion, I'm planning to improve SAT this summer, but I'm not sure what to do with my ECs,,, I'm worried especially about my ECs,,

What is "C"?

columbia,,, IoI

Oh, I was thinking Caltech.

Anymore opinions T_T ??

Eh.. You're an OK applicant. HYPSC? wheeww.. And I agree with bandit, you need deeper ECs and a better CR Score.

IMHO, it's gonna be quite hard to get into those. You have chances, but not much, I'd say.

Are you applying for financial aid. If so you it's going to be a lot more difficult.

I guess I shouldn't apply for financial aid,,,

Why? Aren't all of those schools need-blind?

IoI are they?? I would guess that they are not although many say that they are.

I'm pretty sure Princeton is need-blind.

You've got a chance at all those places, but you don't necessarily stand out in the crowd. Probably the best hook you've got is being an immigrant, but if you could develop your EC's, it would definitely boost your status from "one in the crowd" to a more interesting, higher-level applicant.

Like said before, raising your Verbal SAT score to 700 could never hurt...though I would imagine colleges considering you would be at least somewhat understanding since you weren't born in America.

Obviously all of the schools are going to be reaches, as they are reaches for everyone.

However, there are some factors you can manipulate to help your chances.

Once you have solid stats, 3.7+ GPA, 690+ SATs (on each subject...), you need to have a passion. Trust me, these schools see thousands of kids all who have great things going for them: President of this, chief of that, etc. You need to have a common factor that shows them you are deeper then meaningless ECs.

Also, enhance your application. Send them a CD of yourself. You can paint a clearer picture of yourself to them, and they (hopefully) will have less trouble accepting you.

Good luck!

What kind of ECs would help me a lot?????

Anything you're really passionate about, or any leadership position. Looking at your application, I can't identify a strong interest in anything, except for a possible interest in science and math. What do you like about these subjects? Killer essays can help you here, but your ECs just don't tell me much about you.

Your reading score will probably keep you out

I was also thinking Caltech for the "C", lol.

HYPSMC's "C" stands for Caltech, so that's why.
