Thanks dude.

Anyone else?

Why not Rice? Great science programs.

I might apply there. Not sure if I want to yet. Isn't it really big?

Bump...........

You state your self that you have a year before you apply and a lot can happen between this year and next. who knows, you may not want to apply to any of the schools on your list.

That's true, but I don't think my personality is going to severely change. And I doubt my grades are going to be extremely different. I mean I've been consistent haven't I.

So, NYC. Should I look at any college there, I went to NYC once and it was awesome, I'd be happy there.

I think you're looking too much as prestige.. not that you're not the only one doing that.. but if you are considering nyc, you shouldnt be considering dartmouth, for example. I would say relax about college and just get good grades this year. Junior year is tough. Then visit some the places on your list in the spring, and decide whether to apply anywhere ED based on which schools that you visit fit you. good luck

You're absolutely right, I am looking at prestige. I do want people to know the name of my college. But here's the real reason. If I ask can I get into (insert very prestigious college), and I get an affirmative answer, then that probably means I can get into colleges lower than that.

If one says I can get into say, Princeton for a random example, then I can be pretty sure if I picked some bottom of the first tier school I can be pretty sure it's going to happen.
