Chances at Ivies and UCs?

Strong interest in either film or advertising
Of course, all ivies are a reach for everyone, but I just want to know if I even stand a chance.
Currently a high school junior

Current GPA: 3.7 unweighted, weighted 4.2

SAT: 2290 (Second time. Math: 790, CR: 700, Writing:800)

SAT2’s:
Math 1: 800
Literature: 680
(Working on Lit, plan to retake)

AP’s taken (or will take):
No AP classes of freshman and sophomores at my school
Junior year- Psychology (5?), Language and Composition (4?)
Senior Year-Stats (5?), Literature (3-4?)

ECs/Projects/Awards:
Member of Youth Toastmasters for five years, held board member positions
Choir for two years
Board member of Writing Club at school
Children’s art teacher
Editor and contributor for literary magazine (outside of school)
Commissioned by the city to paint a mural in the park
Won many various art and writing contests
California State Scholar of the Arts (Theater)
200+ community service hours (Local arts center and animal shelter)

Don’t know what category these things should be put in (or if I should even include them in my app):
Diagnosed with ADHD
Stand-up comedian

Demographics: Asian, female, CA, middle income

Your marks on the SAT are great. Although, lit is rather low. Hopefully you can raise it. With regards to your GPA you aren’t very high. For the ivies, and better UC’s it will hold you back.

  1. Ivies such as HYP are reaches. If you apply ED/EA it will strengthen you chances.
  2. Some of the (easier) ivies might be more friendly to you, but not by much.
  3. UCLA and Berkeley seem to be your matches. I bet you will get into at least one of them.
  4. Then the other UC's are safeties or lower matches.

Yeah, I figured my GPA would kind of hold me back. It’s an upward trend though (if that helps). I’ve been working really hard on Lit. My last practice test was 730 so I think I can raise it!
I also plan to apply ED to Harvard. How much do you think that will help?
