Chance for Ivies!

Hey, I'm a junior. (rising senior woot woot!)
Half Turkish, Half American girl--always mark myself as "Other"

I go to a highly competitive private school in Cali. Ivy acceptances are pretty much de rigeur for us and it's expected that I'll go the same route.
The difference for me: my school excels in math/science/tech and I'm all about the humanities. Writing is like breathing to me (my current impossible-to-please English teacher has told my parents that I need to make my living as a writer) and English is the great love of my academic life. I want to pursue it seriously in undergrad and maybe transition to playwriting as a grad student. Math/science...that's my Achilles heel. I just want to be somewhere I can soak up learning about everything I'm interested in.

EC:
Passionate devotion to the performing arts all my life, mainly in musical theater. In every elite choir, program, and show at my school's conservatory, have traveled internationally, done charity work, had and continue to have leading roles (just got nominated for a regional high school theater award). Directing my own show next year, hopefully starring in shows, graduating as a musical theater "major" from the performing arts department. Will definitely be submitting arts supplements.
Writing "mentor" to middle school students/NHS/JCL all through high school

Summer plans: internship at the only new play development center on the West Coast, writing my first full-length play, tutoring kids in English/Creative Writing/History/SAT CR&W.

I actually thought for most of my life that I'd end up performing, but recently realized how unsatisfied I'd be intellectually, so I'm seeking to combine my passions and explore playwriting/theatre studies with creative writing/American lit. Seeking English/creative writing & theatre studies major with minors in poli sci and theater.

Looking at a wide variety of schools, but curious about my chances at lower level UCs, NYU, Vassar, Columbia, UChicago, Northwestern, Stanford, Berkeley, UPenn, Yale, Brown. Help?

Your SAT superscore is 2290 while your CR+M is 1490. It is a bit low for top schools. Try to bring up your Math score to 700+ (CR+M 1500+).
Also, I found you have a lot of Bs while your calculated GPA is still near 4. What is your school’ GPA scale? Are you doing weighed? Try to recalculate your GPA with core courses without subgrades in 4.0 scale to see what it is. The average GPA for Stanford is >3.9 for instance.
