Thanks for the advice. I think I'll take a shot at stanford and cornell because many students (3 last year and 4 the year before) went to those two schools from here. Well the essay I guess will play a very important role. I absolutely awesome recommendations from 2 teachers (my AP Lit and AP Stats + Calc teachers). I hope that their recs help me balance somethings out on my low SAT scores. Anymore advice and suggestions are more than welcome...

You will very likely not get into Stanford, MIT, Caltech or UPenn. Im saying 2-5%chance. Sorry but an international with those scores and extracurriculars just wont get into the best schools in the country. I think you have slim shot at Cornell and and Berkley, and you'll probably get in to GTech. I would recommend some more safeties though. The U of Washington is a great school for a safety, try applying there. You would most likely get in. Anyways, best of luck and remember that some of the school that arent ranked quite as high are still great places to go to college.

I agree on the super-reach part with these guys, but apply to stanford for good measure. My advice to you is apply to Michigan NOW, don't wait a minute. The difficulty increases over time (strange but true). CMU is a match and Cornell a slight reach (ED you are likely in, RD there is a decent chance). Berkeley is also a slight reach, but you have a shot. GATech is a safety.

yeah. Thanks. That was helpful. I was wondering whether my SAT score will pull my chances down. Im applying to Cornell Engineering where the mid-50 is between 1400 and 1520, and Im far off that.

btw. Iv become the Captain of the School Robotics Team (which I founded), as well as of the Stock Market Club (that I also initiated). Leadership roles on my resume at last!!

Well I'm going to say that i started these clubs this year, not specifying when. So I hope it will look a little nice on the app. Anyway. Does anybody have any more comments/suggestions and advice???
