Hi i am a high school senoir and i am contemplating about applying to a couple of ivy leagues (Brown and Princeton). I know they are really selective schools, so i was wondering if someone could give me some advice if i should apply or if i am wasting my money.
I am an African American
National Acheivement Semi-finalist..so far
Top 5 in my class of 375
Got a 32 ACT
National Honors Society Member
Have taken all IB and AP classes since 10th grade
I've volunteered for over 200 hours past two years
don't play sports though or work
And i would be first to go to college in my family
Thanks!

You have a good shot. So go for it, apply - and good luck.

Your scores, grades, and course rigor are enough to put you in the ballpark.
URM + first gen should help.
Do you have any other extracurriculars or interests?
Is there a good story associated with your volunteer work?
