Chances at Ivys, UVA, USC, GT, and Stanford

<p>Hi guys,</p>

<p>Please do not abuse me for my stats. I have been lurking on this forum for a while, and I have noticed that such students are often harassed. This is an honest inquiry. Until recently, I have not taken my life seriously, and I really want to attend a school that better serves my abilities.</p>

<p>High School: 3.9 GPA
College: 4.0 GPA
SAT: 1600
SAT II: 800 MathIIc, 800 Writing, 800 Physics.
I did not take any APs.
African American Male</p>

<p>Schools I am applying to: Harvard, Yale, Cornell, USC, UVA, Georgetown, and Stanford.
I have two recs coming from Harvard alums. My mother attended Harvard and my father attended USC.</p>

<p>I have completed 21 hours last semester and am enrolled for another 21 hours. I am attending a school in NYC.</p>

<p>Wow..I'm impressed..dang. I hope you didn't apply to the nursing program at Georgetown, else you took a spot away from me, for sure! I think you have a great shot at all the schools you applied! Good luck, and welcome to CC!</p>

<p>Clearly, transferring to Harvard and Yale is always somewhat of a crap-chute, but you're certainly extremely qualified. I would guess you've got as good a shot as anyone, especially if you're transferring from an estimable instituion.</p>

<p>Modestman, me thinks you have a good chance at those schools. You are for sure in for Cornell and USC. I don't know anything about UVA but you have a good shot at the rest of the Ivys and Stanford as long as your essays were interesting. Please let us know how you do once you hear back from these schools.</p>
