Chances at James Madison University and Penn State University Park?

I live in Northern Virginia.
My stats:
-Freshman-Junior year GPA: 3.66 weighted and 3.3 unweighted
-SAT: 1850
-ACT: 28
-Took 4 APs so far and taking 4 more senior year
-7 honors classes
-good amount of EC's

I know my GPA is pretty low. Do I have chances at James Madison University?

Also, on some college reference websites, it says that the average GPA for James Madison University acceptance is 3.75. Is this GPA unweighted or weighted? My school only provides the weighted GPAs for schools so I was wondering if this is the case. THANKS!

My D applied to both of those schools and was accepted to both with a 3.7 weighted GPA and 1870 SAT. She took 3 AP classes and about 4 to 5 honors classes. She ended up deciding on Penn State and will be a Freshman in the Fall. We are out of state for both. I loved both schools.

I think you have a great chance of being accepted to both. Good Luck!

yes you will be okay at those schools no doubt! Ironically those are both on my list and we have the same GPA…you beat me in standardized tests though :P

I got a 23 on my ACT, have a 3.3 unweighted gpa took no honors classes and only took one AP but at least I got a 5 and I was accepted. I do go to one of the top high schools in the state but JMU said they don’t base their decisions off that. I’m sure you’ll get in.I mean I have reasons for why my grades were super high but still.

weren’t*
