Ok sooo it’s that time of the year again and I’m really stressed out here. I’m a senior in highschool and I would just like feedback (preferably from those that know what they’re talking about) on my chances at John Hopkins University ED disregarding my essays and rec. Here’s my stats:
-13th in class of 708 students
-Will have taken 16 APs by end of senior year.
-Got two Bs in calc AB and calc BC junior year (no Bs prior to that)
-All other grades are As but low As (90s basically)
-NMSQT semi qualifier
-35 ACT 11 on essay (36 science and writing, 35 reading, 32 math)
-allstate clarinitist all 4 years
-created and is president of music club that plays at elderly homes. (Will have a student article written about us which I will put a link on my common app)
-secretary and co founder of non profit organization (FYE= Fostering Youth Education) Website will be created soon
-got award at HOSA for 300 service hours
-Varsity tennis sophomore year and probably senior year (fell to JV junior year)
-AP scores are pretty bad except psych(4) bio(4) human(5) world(4). Will submit these 4.
-760 in sat subject 2 math, 780 in korean, will take bio in october
-Member of debate club, varsity academic bowl
-competed in state and international leadership conference in HOSA but sadly did not place…
-bunch of volunteer hours
-have a job at kumon
-NHS and NSHS member
-shadowed dermatologist over summer of junior year. Prior to that, volunteer at elderly homes in summer.
Finally, I am an asian male and really want to do pre med at JHU and hopefully also go to med school to become a plastic surgeon. Please give me an honest review and I am open to criticisms. Thank you!
