Chances at JHU

I'm only a soph (going to junior ), but i'm really curious about my chances at JHU (my dream school)
3.6 UW gpa
already took AP Bio (most likely got a 5 on the test)
going to take AP Chem, AP Physics, AP Music Theory, AP comp science AB, AP Calc, AP French, and AP English.

Tests:
Since i'm just a soph, i've only taken
SATII Bio: 800
PSAT: 212

EC's:
Vice-President of Robotics Club
Robotics apprenticeship at Palo Alto Research Center this summer
Marching Band (going to do it all of high school and probably get a leadership role my senior year)
6 years of clarinet
going to take music theory courses at Colburn Conservatory
Science Team

I'm mostly worried about my GPA, I know my test scores will be okay since I'm a really good test-taker, but i have a bunch of B's and i don't want to come off as a lazy student. My EC's are also pretty generic. Also, i'm in one of the worst positions ever, rich Asian female.

Probably going to major in something related to science, and possibly do double degree (ha, yeah right)

double degree in music at peabody that is.

Yes, work on your EC and study for the SAT/ACT so you'll have a head start. The AP classes you listed; is that for you junior year or both junior and senior year?

It's for both junior and senior year; the only other AP classes my school offers is AP environmental science and AP Spanish.

JHU does not offer credit for AP Env. science, AP English, AP French and Music Theory. However, If you taken these classes in high school you should have no problem in college. It wouldn't hurt if you enrolled into AP Env. science as well to raise your GPA.

Good test scores but low GPA.

haha, i posted that about a year ago and totally forgot about that post, but now here's my updated profile

Umm...how did you're GPA go from 3.6 to 3.9?!?!

Sorry if that was misleading, but the GPA i had posted previously included my freshman year grades, which were pretty bad, but i found out that jhu does not calculate freshman grades into the GPA, so that's why my GPA magically jumped by .3 :)

If you work on your ECs a little more--it's not about doing a lot of things, but participating in a few activities and sticking to it (it shows you're passionate about something), and do well on your SAT Is, I'd say you're definitely in.

What about me.... i'd love to go to hopkins.

Unless you improve your SAT and/or ACT scores, then I say you have no chance. Everything else looks good though.

The only people who get into JHU with those test scores are hooked applicants (i.e. URM).

Yea, I have alot of trouble with test taking. I will probably apply ED tho. I'm hoping to raise my ACT to a 30, or SAT to 2000+, which I think is feasible.

BTW, congrats to JHU for winning today.
