I am currently on track to improve my GPA and class rank; I'm getting straight As for this quarter and hopefully for next quarter as well. Any further advice would be greatly appreciated.

It’s definitely in your range, and it doesn’t hurt to apply.

Oh yeah, and my stats are pretty much identical to yours (ECs similar, maybe mine are a little weaker though) so I can tell you if I get in within a week or so, but of course that doesn’t say whether you’ll get in or not.

id be interested in knowing where u did it in the hospital… im doing mine in the neurosurgery unit, and i took the initiative to ask to be put there… are u generally volunteering or did u ask to be put in a specific place?.. also i think u got a decent chance, where are ur ECs or is that ur main list??/… do u play any sports??

My ECs are on that list. My connection to the hospital was the administrator of the Bloodless Medicine and Surgery Department at the hospital, so that’s the place that I work at. And no, I don’t play any sports. Not really my thing.

Honestly, nothing stands out to me. If you’re applying ED, then you might have a fair chance but I have seen people with much stronger resumes get waitlisted/rejected. Sorry, just my opinion.

My GPA (unweighted/weighted), SATs, and class rank are all virtually identical to yours (your writing SAT is 40 higher than mine, only difference).

Your classes are much tougher though (I only took 3 APs my senior year), and your extracurriculars are a little bit stronger.

I got waitlisted. (I guess I’ll see if I get off in about a month though)
