I'd appreciate it if anyone could evaluate my chances at any/all of these schools. Thanks!

OMG! You're applying to Vassar ED too!!! So am I!!!

I've only met like a few other people on this site that are applying to Vassar ED, so I'm always shocked to find another. You should post on the Early Decision thread I started on the Vassar board. Are you applying ED I or II? Just put it on my thread.

Okay, anyway. By looking at your stats, I'd say you have good chances at all the schools you're applying to. Good luck!

Hey thanks Iheartvassar - i'm applying EDI actually - i sent everything in already... I really love vassar. it was one of the first schools i visited, and after visiting about 12 other schools, i realized that i was just comparing all of them to vassar (which, i must say, is incomparable)... the atmosphere that is just so stimulating... i hope we both get in.

anyone else have opinions - i'd love to hear some specific school-related chances - thanks

i'd appreciate any feedback - thanks guys

it looks like you have a really good chance

what school do you go to? I also live on LI

You will totally get into Vassar...Its an awesome place, have fun there!

what about the other schools? can some people run down my list and predict likelihood of admission perchance? thanks

what are my reaches, major reaches, matches, safeties, etc

Propspy:

Here's just my 2 cents on your school's list:

Vassar (ED)...Match/Safety (based on ED acceptance rate, and male/female ratio)
Tufts...Reach
UChicago...Reach/Match (take care with your essays, less predictable than most)
Columbia...Reach
NYU...Match (just because there are many LI applicants)
Swarthmore...Reach (again, essays, recs and fit are very important here)
Dartmouth...Reach
Haverford...Reach/Match (chose based on fit, and interview recommended strongly)
Wesleyan...Reach (is a bit numbes driven as of late, and depends on major interest)
BU...Match/Safety
Conn Coll...Match
Union...Match/Safety

Again, just my 2 cents. Remember at some schools, more than others, the essays and recs and fit are extremely important. Good luck. :)

thanks very much blaineko
