Chances at Lehigh?

I would apply ED, which has a 60% acceptance rate, although the regular decision is 28%.

My (public) highschool has an incredible record and is constantly recognized nationally in magazines and such for its rigor. Even the less smart kids usually get into good schools.
This works both for and against me, for because it looks good I went through a rigorous curriculum but against because my class rank is not that high, simply because everyone at my school is VERY smart. My class rank is in the top 50% but not in the top quarter.

My freshman and sophomore years, I had a gpa of about 85. Junior year, I started working harder and got a 94 average. (I plan to do just as well my senior year.) Overall, my gpa is about 89 which doesn't reflect where I'm at right now, but Lehigh is big on "talent and ability" so I feel like they'll likely look at my junior gpa and what I'm capable of now.

I have a good mix of honors, AP and college prep classes. I've only taken college prep in Math and Science because that's not my strong point, but always honors in other classes.

I'm a singer in a my school choir that you have to try out for, and have made/attended music festivals that you also have to try out for.

I'm one of the top 10 highschool skiers in my entire state (all classes), have made several qualifyer competitions since my freshman year and will be captain of my highschool team last year. I got a varsity letter for this my freshman year and have won several awards. I also ski on the weekends, it's a huge time commitment and I plan to play this up a lot in my application.
I also play a spring sport but I'm going to play skiing up as my major sport.

I'm a member of two clubs, hopefully will be president of one this fall.

I'm an avid writer and had an essay published in a magazine. I'm taking a college level writing class at the local university this fall.

My sophomore year a got a "most improved" award for spanish, haha which isn't that great of a deal but is something I can include as an academic achievement.

200+ community service hours, which includes a trip to Costa Rica to volunteer with underpriveledged children from several villages.

I plan to have 2000-2100 on my SATs when I take them in October.

Also, it's hardest to get into Lehigh if you want to study engineering, which is what Lehigh is mostly known for. I however want to study Marketing, which isn't as competitive.

Sorry this is long. My chances please?

Bump, please?? I’ll chance you back!

ED will help, the skiing will help, ec’s are good, class rank is low for lehigh unfortunately… try to shoot for a 2100

also have you taken the most rigorous courseload at your school? you want to. or close to it.

your chances seem fair, not amazing… because of your rank/gpa frosh and soph years, but not horrible

good luck!
